Rosie,
This is a beautifully illustrated book about a parent telling their child about how they decided on the perfect gift to give them。The gift given to the child is the entire world around them。 I think this sends the message that the best gifts you can give are experiences and spending time with others。

Rating: 5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟•Enter a magical world surrounded by the beauty of nature。 Perfect book to teach the little ones of the wonders of nature。 Provides a profound appreciation and love for all things nature。 It’s full of love and has a tender touch to it like a mother’s love toward her child。 Super cute and lovely illustrations。 Highly recommend this book。
Sheron,

Ruby Khan,
A lovely tale about how we should appreciate the world around us and the beauty it holds。
Eden P,
I enjoy the rhyme, the art makes me happy, and the page illustrating an eagle soaring over mountains always elicits a gasp of delight from my son。He's been choosing this as one of our story time books for the past week or so。 I enjoy the rhyme, the art makes me happy, and the page illustrating an eagle soaring over mountains always elicits a gasp of delight from my son。He's been choosing this as one of our story time books for the past week or so。 。。。more

Following the seasons and different animal species as they profess their adoration for their young, this book is a sweet homage to the parent-child relationship。
Jenny,
This is a simple but absolutely beautiful book。 A loving parent tells their young baby that they will give them the world and everything in it。。"the clouds through which great mountains rise, the eagles soaring through the skies。" And animals, the seasons, day and night, and each new beautiful element of nature。 The text is lovely, and the illustrations are beautiful and evoke both a feeling of peace and joy。 This is a simple but absolutely beautiful book。 A loving parent tells their young baby that they will give them the world and everything in it。。"the clouds through which great mountains rise, the eagles soaring through the skies。" And animals, the seasons, day and night, and each new beautiful element of nature。 The text is lovely, and the illustrations are beautiful and evoke both a feeling of peace and joy。 。。。more

Ashleigh Best,
The thing I loved most about this book was the illustrations。 They fit so well with the story and it made me much more engaged while reading。 The story is very sweet, and would be great as a bedtime story from a parent to a child。 Although, as a teacher, this would not be a very good fit for the classroom。 Overall, I would recommend this to be on any child's shelf, as it displays the love from a parent to a child in the most precious way。 The thing I loved most about this book was the illustrations。 They fit so well with the story and it made me much more engaged while reading。 The story is very sweet, and would be great as a bedtime story from a parent to a child。 Although, as a teacher, this would not be a very good fit for the classroom。 Overall, I would recommend this to be on any child's shelf, as it displays the love from a parent to a child in the most precious way。 。。。more
Emily,
This would make a great bedtime story。 I gave it 3 stars because it mostly just repeats the title, but it is very cute and mushy。 The story I think is in a mom's point of view or dad's talking to their child。 Basically it is them saying, "I give you oceans, forests。。。" and at the end it's "I give you the world" because of how much they love their child。 It would be great for preschool to even 2nd grade maybe。 The art was super cute and really brought more to the story。 This would make a great bedtime story。 I gave it 3 stars because it mostly just repeats the title, but it is very cute and mushy。 The story I think is in a mom's point of view or dad's talking to their child。 Basically it is them saying, "I give you oceans, forests。。。" and at the end it's "I give you the world" because of how much they love their child。 It would be great for preschool to even 2nd grade maybe。 The art was super cute and really brought more to the story。 。。。more

Kalynda,
With rhyming text and beautiful illustrations a parent gives the most cherished gift to their newborn, the world。 Coming home just recently from a mountain retreat, this book aligned with my own thoughts and reflections on just how vast, grand, beautiful and treasured this world is。
Lusitarius,

In poetry, Stacey McCleary offers a look at the world through a year of gifts, illustrated beautifully by Carmen Saldana。 There is "the spring's soft breeze/that whispers to the tiny seeds", "the animals, both young and old,/preparing for the winter cold, and more。 Like a lullaby, it is meant to be read aloud and loved by young children。 In poetry, Stacey McCleary offers a look at the world through a year of gifts, illustrated beautifully by Carmen Saldana。 There is "the spring's soft breeze/that whispers to the tiny seeds", "the animals, both young and old,/preparing for the winter cold, and more。 Like a lullaby, it is meant to be read aloud and loved by young children。 。。。more
